Culture changes through hundreds, thousands of actions and decisions in the organization. Each of them so insignificant that no one-on-one result can be seen.

This means that there is a crucial role in the change process for the leader(s) of the organization or the involved department. They:

  • demonstrate continuously and consistently the desired new behaviour by being perfect role models

  • communicate relentlessly about the desired behaviour and what it will bring to the organization

  • openly reward new behaviour

  • change all processes, procedures and systems that stand in the way of the new behaviour.
